I am having trouble conecting my wifi to my tablet any suggestions? It works on my laptop and phone
Which tablet do you have?
Are you using the WiFi in the Shaw modem? Or your own router?
I have a Samsung tablet and I am using the Shaw modem
Without knowing which model of tablet you have, this should be close to the Samsung tablets
How to set up email and WiFi - Samsung Note II
My model number of my samsung is GT P7510 and I have tried the wifi setup using my Network and passwork and this does not work
When I tried to connect it says Network is disabled????
That error sounds like the WiFi is turned off on your tablet?
But upon google searching with the P7510, suggested to press and hold on the WiFi name and "forget" the settings and try setting it up again, or a hard-reset and check for software updates.
I did the "forget" but that didn't work .I just reset my tablet two days ago. I am wondering if it has something to do with my modem because I cant get WiFi to work on my kobo either. It does work on my laptop and my phone ( which is also a Samsung Very frustrated !!!!
Did it work before you reset your tablet?
Yes and after at another persons house. My husband took it to work today and the wifi works fine using there internet. It has to have something to do with the modem??
But not if it worked with the same modem and settings before.
I just got the tablet and brought it home this weekend. It has never been hooked up to this modem.
When you try to connect to Shaw Go Wifi, make sure you are using a @shaw.ca address that is active on your account. One way to test is by logging into Shaw Webmail.
More info on logging in can be found at Shaw Go WiFi Finder App
Which Kobo do you have? It works like a charm on my Arc, and other than turning the Wifi on in the tablet, all I did was to pick the correct entry for my Cisco router/modem and enter the correct password to get the Wifi working.
