I have had this error on my cable for a few days now. I already tried everything in the suggested link from the shaw guys on all the other posts. Is there anything else I can try before getting a support person in?
That error usually occurs if there is no signal getting to the box. Not sure what you have tried but, connect the cable direct to the TV and see if you get a clear analog signal. This will test to see if the signal from the outlet is good. If it is, the try checking or changing the coax from the wall to the box. Let us know how it goes here.
I did what you said and when I go to the TV input on my TV it shows a picture but it is all fuzzy (like snowy - you know what I mean?) Does this mean that the outlet is good or not? What should I do now?
Ok it sounds like a signal problem to that outlet. One last thing you may be able to do - try wiring to a different outlet if you can. That will narrow it to the outlet or to the signal going to your home. Also, were you able to swap the coax cable from the wall? It may just be a bad cable.
I will send you a private message to get your account information and assist you further.

I first disconnected the coaxial cable to the digital box and hooked up again, still same error. Then unplugged the power cord to the digital box, plugged it in and presto the problem was fixed. I understand if you do it that way while you can see the pictures on the channels the program listings will say To Be Announced but that is shortlived. Maybe you tried that but I thought I would mention in case
Had same issue last night, and tech told me it was the cable.
Tech 'refreshed' the cable box, i did the cable thing, and also did the power thing, still same thing. Thought it was one specific channel, but after some of my own troubleshooting, i've discovered that what is *recording*, if I try to watch it, the channel won't come on, then i have no recording, nor can i watch the channel and it just gives the S0a000 error.
Seems to me the device is failing.
