E-mails for some e-mail addresses are shown in webmail but are not coming through to Outlook Express Inbox as usual. How do I fix this please?
0x800c0133 is corrputed Inbox,
The best way to fix is to create a new Identity, but it takes some steps to keep your existing emails
Thanks for taking time out to reply. Are you from SHAW?
If not, would like to know why SHAW hasn't replied to my question???!!!
No, I don't work for Shaw,
My guess, they don't need to? Unless you want them to verify my answer is correct, but it is your computer's issue, not a Shaw service issue
A [shaw]moderator might be able to chime in if you want
The Shaw Community is meant as a platform for our customers to be able to seek out self-help documents or discussion/advice from other Shaw customers who might also be having a similar problem. It's not meant as an instant or short-term response platform. If we find there is a post or thread that hasn't received a proper response after a day or two, we will jump in and help resolve the problem or try and start a conversation that will provide a resolution.
kevinds is one of our great power users who -- although not an employee -- can likely help you just as much as an employee could (with the exception of account specific items). In fact, his answer is correct in that the error you are seeing is a result of a corrupt inbox with your email program. This is something specific to the email program you are using and you would likely need/want support from that company. One of the great things about the Community is that it allows other customers to provide links to things or support on issues that, as employees, we are not able to support.
We don't have any documents for how to troubleshoot a corrupt inbox, but Microsoft does as Outlook is it's product. I did a quick search for you and found this link: OLEXP: How to create and use identities in Outlook Express 5.x and 6.0. Hopefully this helps, but if not maybe someone else has a better site or information.
Hopefully this clears some things up for you. There are issues that we will certainly prioritize on the Community (such as No Dial Tone events) of course, but with great contributions from other customers often we aren't even needed!
Thank you to you both.
Your welcome, I hope that at least helped point you in the right direction
