HI, I was wondering if it was possible to have 9 LAN devices connected ( switch D-Link DGS-1024D ) modem Cisco DPC-3825 at the same time?
The ideal configuration would be,
DPC3825 in bridge mode > Asus RT-AC66U (as router and AP) > Switch > Devices
Devices connected to either the Asus or the Switch, both are gigabit so won't matter too much which they are connected to.
Using all the ports should work just fine too.
would you recommend all LAN devices plugged in to switch ? also I have a ASUS RT-AC66U wireless router. Ideally I would like to have all LAN devices ( currently 9 ) and all wireless devices to use the RT-AC66u ( not currently connected ). From reading i believe my preferred hook up would be:
9 LAN devices --> switch --> DPC3825 port 1
wireless devices --- ASUS RT-AC66U ---> DPC3825 port 2
DPC3825 put in bridge mode.
Is this a realistic configuration?
