Outgoing email OSX mail not working

I am getting a password request when sending emails through Mail on a MacBook Pro. I am receiving emails fine, and use the the password for both incoming and outgoing (I have reset my email password to be sure).

 

server  mail.shaw.ca

use custom port 587

use SSL is checked

Authentication password

user name is email address without @shaw.ca

password has been reset and is the same as incoming

 

anyone have any ideas?
