Is there a service problem in Surrey today? I can't send any email unless I connect to 3G on my cell phone. Incoming mail seems to work.
What errors do you get when sending?
What settings do you have set in the outgoing email sections
No error messages at all. settings haven't changed at all. I can't even get onto Shaw Webmail to try that, although I can get on this site and other websites.
I seem to be able to log into Shaw Webmail fine here. Do you get an error page when trying to access it via a web browser on your computer?
Even if the settings haven't changed, we'll need to know what they are if there is a specific issue with them.
I now received this error message:
Task - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC67) : ' The server responded: 421 #4.4.5 Too many connections from your host.'
Also, re: the shaw webmail it just keeps trying to connect - says "Please Wait.Loading Page." but never gets anywhere.
I just did a speedtest and the upload speed is only 0.47 and the download is 16.82

Are you using a router? Are other computers connecting to your internet connection?
Have you tried rebooting your computer?
Basicaly that is saying is something is trying to send too many emails to Shaw,
Another computer, your computer, restart should clear up any confused email/security software
Could be a virus as well.
Also possible that patience was the answer - because all of a sudden everything is working just fine?
