Old TV with no HDMI connection

with this switch from analog to digital, not only that I had to get HD boxes for all TVs, but as it turned out they won't even work if the TV is not HD compatible (component cables are not working either), so now I have to buy a new TV as well AND throw perfectly good TV to the garbage (like we don't produce enough already!!!). NOT HAPPY at all!

But, before I give up and pollute the Earth and spend few more hundreds of dollars, I want to try one more thing.

My question is:  Would old digital box (referred to by Shaw as " Digital Box DCT700 - Refurbished") work with my kids old NO-HDMI TV?

Thank you
