I Have new HD box so NOW do I still use the tv remote (source) or my shaw remote to change sources to use wii?
Use your TV remote, depends which Shaw remote you have, it might have a Video Source that may work, my Atlas remote it is in the bottom corner, but I have to press the TV button first to have it work.
To keep it simple, I will say just use the TV remote to change inputs/sources
Here is how I do it.
a. Using the shaw remote (1056b03) .
b. Ensure the tv has been setup to come on when you press the tv button and the master power button.
c. The wii has to be turn on .
d. Then press the video source button until it comes to the source you want.
e. I find if I do not turn on the source it will not show up on my video sources when I scroll through the list of things connected to the tv. Hope this helps.
my source button doesn't do anything when I press it....i have my wii hooked up directly to box as I was told I could do this to watch netflix, right now am so frustrated and ready to give up....what am I doing wrong?
The only box that could do this, pass an external signal to the TV was the Pace Tahoe, and it was hit/miss when it actually worked.
In summary, connect your devices to your TV and with the proper TV code programmed into your remote, TV then Video Source to change to the proper input on your TV.
