I have a different PVR issue.
I have a DCT3416 with a 1TB expansion disk. I paid over $700 for this rig, so I assume that I actually own it. I recently switched to Optik, but I have many programs and movies already recorded, sitting on my drive. I hooked the 3416 up to another TV input after the conversion so I could watch them. This worked for about 2 weeks, then stopped. I rebooted the PVR and now get a "DVR service not available" message. I do not expect to be able to record new programs, but I do expect to be able to watch programs that I have legally recorded in the past.
It seems to me that Shaw is overstepping its legal rights by totally disabling this system. What can I do to address this issue?
