Trying to fix my moms TV guide on her tv it all says to be announced and the time is at 1230 it has been like this for a week I have tried to re boot
1230 after being plugged in for half an hour? If it isn't even getting the time correct, that is usually a signal issue
As kevinds mentioned, this type of problem will usually be caused by poor signal. Have you had a chance to disconnect the coaxial cable at the back of the digital box, and reconnect? We'd also recommend disconnecting and reconnecting the cable at the other end, which will most likely be at a wall cable outlet; however, it may be at a visible cable splitter.
If there's a splitter connected, you may also want to try bypassing this to make a direct connection to the wall cable outlet if possible. Please note that if there's a Shaw modem connected to the same splitter, the Internet will drop offline until the splitter is reconnected.
