Last night I sent a message that contained six pictures that were taken using my smartphone.
MIME encoded, the message added up to 19 Mb.
It took a long time to send to Shaw's mail server (188.8.131.52), almost an hour, and in the end it somehow failed. The message was never delivered.
This afternoon I deleted it from my queue. After that, smaller messages stuck in the queue after the big one were able to get out and deliver successfully.
I resent the pictures in three messages, two each.
Now the first message of the batch is just 5.1 Mb, and it is still not able to get through.
Why can't I send a 5.1 Mb mail in the year 2013?
I could understand if it was 1993.
