Shaw Secure on my computer says I have no virus support but I am running Shaw McAfee. Is there a fix?
Do you see the Shaw McAfee shield by the clock? Or does it not appear at all?
I've seen many cases where the Antivirus takes a few minutes longer to start and Windows give the alert of no anti-virus
Or McAfee is broken and needs to be reinstalled, use the uninstall tool http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe and then reinstall it using Online Customer Care www.shaw.ca/occ
You mention that it is Shaw Secure that says you don't have virus support. Is this a specific error message generated by Shaw Secure? If there is an error message, it would be useful if you could let us know the exact wording of the message so that we can find if the message is from Shaw Secure or a spyware program.
As kevinds mentioned, if Shaw Secure is broken, it might also be necessary to uninstall and then reinstall the program.
