I am having trouble at an airport with my iPad...trying to log on to Shaw Open...shows I'm connected but I can't get the hotspot login to come up. I've restarted iPad...what next??
INTERESTING: Just found this on a google search...I typed the router address into my address bar in Safari, and the redirect page comes up. Weird...
If it shows you are connected, can you just open other websites? Your iPad may be saved and not need to be logging in.
On most devices, opening any webpage page should redirect it to the login page?
One would assume that this is correct...but it does not work with my iPad. Most places/times (airports, coffee shops etc.) the Hotspot authentication just pops up automatically, but certain times it does not (often in a place where I have been before, but sometimes in a new place). When the hotspot authentication does NOT pop up, there does not seem to be a solution. I've been through my settings menu, can't seem to find a cure.
Opening the browser (in this case, Safari) just throws an error message about not being connected to the internet. The iPad is connected to the WiFi network, but without the authentication I cannot get on line.
I don't know how, but does your iPad show you the local IP address that it has, when using ShawOpen, they should be 10.x.x.x addresses?
Yes, all 10.x.x.x addresses
Solved then? lol
