Is it possible to have shaw TV on my PC. That way my wife can watch her programs and I can have mine????
There are TV tuners for the computer. http://www.newegg.ca/Video-Devices-TV-Tuners/SubCategory/ID-47 has a selection of them.
If you are just looking to watch TV on your computer, PVR (maybe a used one) or other digital terminal, and a Slingbox type product may work for you
That's exactly what I'm using my old DCT6200 HD terminal for. It's connected to a Slingbox Pro-HD, it's not even connected to a TV - so I can watch anywhere, mostly on laptop when traveling but also works great in the house If someone is hogging the main TV Note: to view HD remotely over the Internet you need ~2.5Mbps upload speed or better on your home Internet connection. But if you're just using within your house that's not an issue as your home LAN speed will be fine.
Yeah, my DCX3400 was sitting idle, I got a Slingbox 350 for it,
Warning, if you use it on your mobile phone, it will easily use your entire data allowance
Are you using the slingbox iOS app on an iphone ? if so just curious how you like the app, if it's solid etc.
I've been tempted to get the iPad app, but price is kinda steep for something with no demo available. Plus they charge separately for each iPhone and iPad apps, they should just provide it to customers IMO
No, Android phone app, and it works, controls are akward, but reasonable (using a 4 inch screen to replace an 8 inch remote).
Was showing it to my father, watching a baseball game, could see the ball moving and the bat swinging
