Hi, how do I increase the range of my Shaw wireless?....currently using the Cisco wireless unit I was given by Shaw last month and the signal will not reach the other end of my home (Approx. 65ft.)
Try standing the modem up on its side,
Moving your modem to another room in the house, maybe in the middle if you can,
Otherwise you may want to look at a wireless repeater
Hi there rgordon,
Is your wireless modem currently located in a central location in your house? If not, as Kevin has mentioned, relocating it can definitely help if the wireless is not currently reaching all rooms in your home.
As it stands, moving the modem to central location is not an option. I have a cable outlet at opposite ends of my home. One in the living room and one in the master bedroom. It would probably be wise for the retail outlets/customer service locations to not tell clients that the wifi range for the modem is 200ft.
If there is no cable outlet in a central location of your home right now, we can see if one can be added or we can look into alternative solutions. I've sent you a direct message, can you check your Community Inbox please?
