I thought it odd that I wasn't getting any voicemail...when I went to check anyway, the roboperator said my voice mail was disabled. Why would that just happen?
Your Voicemail service shouldn't become disabled on it's own. What you can do is check the Phone Portal (under Features) to see if it shows disabled in there (as you can turn it on and off). If it's not, try disabling it and re-enabling it, then see if you can access Voicemail again via *98 or try leaving yourself a message from another line.
There is nothing under Features expect the switches for Call Forward, 911 Dialing, and simultaneous ring...and no other choices except for the tab Voice Mail, which doesn't allow me to click on anything...but there is nice picture of a lady talking on the phone with copy that invites me to upgrade my Shaw Home Phone by adding voice mail and call waiting...both features I have and have been paying for since we went Shaw phone/internet/HDTV about five years ago. Very strange....I guess I'll have to call tomorrow. I was hoping this might have happened to someone else and there was a quick fix that I was missing.
Thanks very much.
Sounds like voicemail isn't enabled on your phone (removed by mistake maybe)
Good morning ianforsyth,
I'd like to see if I can find out what is causing this to save you from having to phone in for help. Please check your Community Inbox for a direct message.
Well...many thanks to the Shaw team for handling my issue quickly and efficiently on a holiday weekend. My voice mail had been disabled since November! I just thought nobody liked us anymore, but now once again happily receiving voice mail from friends and family!
Thanks again Jeff and Tegan for their great service.
