why is my home page having difficulty loading? Started to receive script message
What is your home page set to? Perhaps try a changing that. What is the script error you are getting?
I receive a security warning notice and the script message implying that my java script may need to be updated. So how do I do that and where do I download java script to update it
Good afternoon ronaldmk,
Java is available to download from www.java.com.
Thank you for your help. The download did not help after a restart. The message I receive is as follows:
Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. If it continues to run your computer might become unresponsive. Yes or No.
How does one get rid of this message as it does not help to answer yes or no. In either case the home page takes a long time to load and other pages such as Texas Holdem become unresponsive. Your further help will be appreciated.
My recommendation would be to reset your browser to the factory default settings. See the following Microsoft article for assistance. How to reset Internet Explorer settings.
Also if you're on Windows Vista/7/8, I'd recommend to update to Internet Explorer 9 (or 10 if available for you). Or try an alternate browser like Firefox or Chrome.
Another question would be is what is your homepage?
Thank you for your help
This my home page and I am using Windows XP:
I did the explorer reset, reinstalled Internet Explorer 8 and I am still having some problems
How to troubleshoot script errors in Internet Explorer is another article from Microsoft regarding this issue. Maybe something in here will help. It also includes a video walkthrough of this type of troubleshooting.
Another common problem mentioned by the Microsoft article is conflicts with anti-virus real-time scanning of the IE temp folders. Which anti-virus are you running?
Other suggestion as mentioned before would be to try and see if you have the same issues if you were to use an alternate browser like Chrome or Firefox. See my last response for links to their downloads.
Let us know. Hopefully we can find something that works for you.
I am using McAfee supplied by shaw.
The problem seemed to persist when loading the Facebook page as well as going into Texas Holdem. The issues seems to have corrected itself. Perhaps Facebook or Zynga Poker for texas holdem has taken measures to fix their act. lol
