What are you using for a router? Cisco modem/WiFi router combo from Shaw? An SMC modem-router combo?Your own router you purchased at a store?
What are you looking to access? Or just internet service in general?
It is Cisco modem/WiFi router combo from Shaw? Try to do some port forwarding. using 192.168.0.1, it won't work for me
That's the right address to access the router on our wireless modems. You should be brought to a login page. Are you not seeing that when you visit that address? If not, it's possible your modem is in bridge mode (acting as a modem only).
Yes, It won't bring me into the login page. But I remember on the day your technician set it up, I was able to log in. What changed? How to fix it?
It could be malfunctioning in that case. Really the only reason you wouldn't be able to get to the login page would be if you've inadvertently connected to another wireless access point, or the modem is in bridge mode. I'd check to ensure you're connected to your modem first and if that's the case, what you can try is a hard reset.
We've got some steps on that for you here. This will reset your network name and password to the defaults found on the sticker on your modem and clear any custom settings you had set up, but may fix the problem for you.
Let me know.
Try http://192.168.100.1 see if that opens up, if it does, then your modem is in bridge mode (yes it will look like the normal login page but your login won't work)
If it doesn't, then try the reset Matt suggested and linked, or you are connected to someone elses's WiFi network.
