Hooked up my digital box, activated it and now all I have is a black screen. everything is hooked up correctly so I don't know what to do know. I have tried diconnecting/tightening all cords and have unplugged the box with no change
I'm sorry to hear that your new digital box isn't working correctly. You may have already checked, but could you please confirm that the TV is set to the correct input? If the digital box is an HD box and it was connected with an HDMI cable, please ensure that the TV has been set to the corresponding HDMI input. To change the input, you can use the "Source" or "Input" button on the TV's remote (not Shaw). If the digital box is a standard definition box that was connected with a coaxial cable, please set the TV to channel 3 using the TV's remote.
If the TV is on the correct input, does anything appear on the TV screen when you press CBL and then Guide or Menu on the Shaw remote?
Nothing comes up when I press guide on the remote, input is correct just nothing but a black screen
