I'm trying to send emails mobile. I'm shaw ISP but internet access mobile is Telus ISP. I can receive emails but not send. Already changed to smtp.telus.net. Is there a port or something else?
You are able to use the outgoing Telus server, but because we offer a remote access option we'd recommend that you use our remote server settings. Which e-mail client are you using on your laptop? We have our remote settings for Mac Mail available here, and the settings for Outlook 2010 available here. As mentioned in both documents, the first step will be to enable remote access for your account. If you have any trouble with this, please don't hesitate to reply back to this thread as we'd be happy to look into this further for you.
Are you using Telus cellular? Or Telus DSL? As I recall, they have different outgoing servers to use.
But at [shaw]tegan metioned, getting Remote Access enabled on your account and using the mail.shaw.ca server would be a much better approach.
