Email wont send, only receive over the last couple days on my home Mac computer. I haven't changed anything.
SO, Idiscovered it was the type of scan I was trying to send and changing it to a PDF instead of jpeg worked. There must be a limit on shawmail for size because my gmail worked.
actually I probably did change things when the whole email was down two nights ago so how do I make it right again.
What SMTP or Outgoing server settings are set?
Server, Port, SSL, Authentication basically everything that is set/entered
As well, which email program are you using?
Were you able to get this corrected? Please let us know if you still require assistance..
Think there is a 20 or 25 MB limit (one of the two) on email size, I think Gmail has a 50MB limit
Wow this email stuff is very sporadic with Shaw. I have several email accounts and have them all coming into my ipad. The one email from my work will occasionally not send a reply and instead says " a copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient....(my work email) was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying." This is not a large file, only a reply and when I switch the the 'from' to one of my other emails, it sends. Problem is, I then get work emails on some of my other emails. Aargh
That email is using 'Exchange', SSL on S/MIME off. (whatever that means). Any ideas?
The email account that doesn't always work, is Exchange?
If I was to guess, without further infomation, I would say your account that doesn't allways work is setup with unathenicated outgoing email, so it works when using a Shaw internet connection, and doesn't work when using non-Shaw internet
