I am currently in the proccess of moving and was wondering if it was required to have a technician set up the modem. if not, is there anything that would not allow me to simply move the modem to the new house and continue using the connection?
You'd want to get in touch with us (www.shaw.ca/contact-us) so we could set up the transfer on our end. If the address is already connected (usually the case if someone was recently there with Shaw service), then it's likely that you could just connect your modem and start using it. We'd need to ensure the account is moved to the address in our system though first. If we need to book out a tech though to connect the modem, we can set that up as well.
