DCX3510: reduced functionality after update.

This morning I had the frozen box problem, and "APP" on the screen. So I did the cold reboot. (Twice: first time through it had the login problem).

 

Now TV works, but the functionality is reduced. Many of the buttons on the remote are received by the unit (the LED flashes) but they do nothing. For instance, List and Settings. I cannot access settings or recorded programs.

 

When I press Guide (once, twice, however many times), only the small Guide shows, not the full screen schedule.
