I've been experiencing a auto reboot with my shaw box.. is this common on these hd boxes??

This is getting ridiculous... Out of the past hr of watching TV.. i've only been able to watch it for like 6 min... its been on auto reboot... *UGH*
Try unplugging it for 5 minutes, or reboot by press and holding the power button until it reboots, 5-15 seconds?
Unplug the power from the wall, the transformer in the middle if it has one (which model of box do you have), and the back of the satellite box, then plug back in
Try a different power outlet?
Check signal strength? Could the box be overheating?
I'm so sorry to hear that you've been having such trouble with your HD receiver. Having the receiver boot so frequently certainly is not a normal situation and out team would love to get you back to watching TV with no interuptions!

If its a 630, a factory reset may keep it limping along for a while.
Unexpected reboots are one of the signs of a 630 death spiral, best solution is to call in to arrange a replacement.
