We like our WiFi. Now we are trying to ad the use of an older tv set. Where can we purchase a box that will receive the WiFi signal and let us connect the tv?
Would you be able to clarify your question a little? We have a few different types of cable boxes, but they all connect to your TV using HDMI or other types of cables, and they receive content via coaxial cable from the wall.
If you're looking for something like streaming video to your TV (from a computer for example) wirelessly, that can be done with some newer TVs, but it wouldn't be something which could be done with our cable boxes.
Look forward to hearing back.
Matt hello, what we have in mind is to connect various older tv's to the WiFi network (LAC OR LAN) in our home As there are various "boxes" that are provided for other types of connections and controls, we think there must be a unit that can provide the proper link between the WiFi and the older tv's. Therefor this is not a cable box but rather a unit that receives the WiFi signal and puts it into the tv. Our lap tops and printers are working fine. Barry
Ah okay, I think I see what you want to do Barry. This is more of a niche application, but I did fine some equipment which might work for you. Take a look at these product here and here. One is a wireless HDMI system while the other is USB to various outputs (composite for older TVs, HDMI, etc...). Hopefully one of these is what you're looking for.
mrbarrymor Are you thinking about something like a Roku box?
Thank you gentlemen for your input. MeBarrymor
