For the past couple days we have had banner and side ads for "Tru Motion" on TV no matter what channel we are on. These ads pop up every several minutes and are quite annoying. Will they end soon or can we somehow turn them off? Thanks
After some trial and error, I found that the TV was in " store demo" mode instead of "home use" mode. Have no idea why the demo mode activated. But it's fine now.
Where are you seeing these ads, just on the channels themselves or in guide? Tru Motion is a trademarked term for a type of image interpolation on some TVs. It's possible this is a function of your TV, although I'm not sure why it might be popping up randomly. What brand/model of TV have you got?
We have an LG. The ads come onto the TV regardless of what channel we are tuned to or if we have the guide on. First a line of ads appears along the top, then on the left side there are a series of ads for LED, picture wizard, energy savings, Intelligent Sensor, Infinite sound, Clear Vision ll, Tru Motion. When the tru Motion comes on then additionally there is a banner at the bottom with a split screen with the words, "Dramatically reduces blur" moving across. We have had the TV for a ;couple years and this is the first time we have had these ads.
This happens about every 5 minutes or so and lasts about a minute.
Definitely weird. Sounds to me though like it's your TV, it could be in some sort of demo mode. Can you find the model? I may be able to find some instructions to disable that.
Nice, that's kind of what I figured. Thanks for the update!
Did you recently connect your TV to the internet, which wasn't connected before?
