I have connected a used pvr expander but my gateway doesn't connect to it.
We have instructions on how to connect an Expander to the Gateway here https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-1049.
Please try these instructions and let us know if you run into any problems.

I had been using my expander with 3510 and when I plugged in to the gateway it didn't see it. Tried various things until I plugged into pc and erased the partitions. Then when I plugged back into gateway it was like a new drive and it recognized it right away and asked to format it. Has been working great since then. Just saying in case you need solution.
