eM Client is a respected application. While the existing list may be most used in the past, there must be a list of settings for what would be classed as a "generic email client"
Which one on the current list is closest to being generic?
Generic Email client settings:
Authentication Type: Username/Password
Username: before @symbol of email address
Password: your password
Server: mail.shaw.caAuthentication: None
These settings match what I used. I have achieved receive performance on 3 accounts and send performance on 2 accounts. Since first asking for help, I discovered I had an unused license for MS Office, and Outlook installed, registered and set up without fault.
I had earlier purchased the license for eM Client Pro, activated the application and exchanged info. with their support person. I see no evidence that the "Pro" designation adds any functionality to the "free" trial version, and I have had no success or useful help in adding my other accounts.
I would not recommend purchasing eM Client Pro!
See my post for how to set up eM Client.
