Does Shaw's TV signal extend to Arizona and is it possible to take a second receiver to the "Home away from Home, N.Bay, ON to Mesa, AZ. If so I will be an X Bell customer faster than a blink of an eye.
Our 2nd Home program has recently changed and I would encourage you to connect with us so that we can make sure you have the most current information. It is correct that you will not receive signal from our G1 satellite in Arizona as we are a Canadian company and our services are focused in that regard. The Anik F1R & F2 Satellites have a larger footprint (service area) and are used by many telecommunications companies, which means that the service area for those satellites remains unchanged.
Ideally we would love to hear from you and talk about how we can meet your specific needs! Please reach out to us soon and we will have one of our reps ready to support you. Your best option is to reach us through Click to Chat at the link below or calling us at 1.888.554.7827

You may have been looking for the Shaw Direct Satellite website which is located here: http://www.shawdirect.ca/ or here: Contact us at Shaw Direct | Shaw Direct satellite TV.
Primarily we support the Shaw Cable side here, but we do have a Shaw Direct employee on here that may be able to answer this question for you when she is in office.

Can you give us a call at 1.888.554.7827? It truly is best to speak with one of our trained reps when it comes to this service. Please reach out to us and I am certain that we can answer all of your questions.
sarah_sd curious, since I usually see you only offer to talk to people directly, or phone support, are you not allowed to tell people this information (like where they can buy an additonal receiver and a dish)
You're right! I really have 2 thoughts when it comes to answering questions around services at 2nd Home locations.
The first is that every situation is unique and the best way to get the right information to a customer is to connect with them and ask questions about how they use their service. We have more than one way to set up the accounts and giving them a call is much easier than back and forth messages.
The second is around the fact that we are a Canadian service provider and the topic of service outside the country is often passionate and always delicate! I would rather connect with a customer than leave them with a generic post speaking to our roots in Canada. I really do feel that it's my role to create some understanding and clarity for each customer. Hopefully that helps to clarify my thought process!
Signal works there.
My dad was just near there...
You are allowed two locations with Shaw direct, but only one is allowed to be active at a time.
If you just grab your receiver from your home and take it with you though, Shaw isn't giong to know.
F1R and F2 will work fine, the new G1 satellite won't have signal there, but that will be for new MPEG4 stations, when they start using it.
Same as snowbirds in Fla,Cdn users can use there sat equipt down south, simply need a dish, decoders and Cdn acct at a cdn address, take em down south, realign dish, get sig good to go. Jim
