Activated the box; went to all 88888 ,then to boot,,then noCP

yes I have,,,a few times it says it is activated
Okay, thanks for confirming. If it's stuck on noCP it may not be activating properly (the web site sometimes doesn't know any better).
Can you please try resetting the box at your end and then running the activation again?
To reset it - unplug the power and coax cable from the back of the box for a minute, then put it back together. Also check whether there is a splitter on the cable line before it arrives to the box, or anything else that may be creating signal loss.
the clock is on now,,does this mean its ready to go ?
Most likely, yes. The clock should show once it's done booting up (successfully). You can try turning it on now.
