Recently I contacted Shaw in order to terminate my internet connection because I am moving to a new place that already has one. Even though the lady on the phone told me that I might see a charge on my account (~ $102), she said that it will be deleted as soon as I return the equipment, which I am not planning to keep. The termination of my internet connection will take place on October 31st. What should I do? Should I pay it now and hope for a refund later or should I leave it as it is and it will be deleted when I return the router? It is annoying that they charged me 1 week before the end of the month.
I will appreciate any help here.
