Broadband 100 - Any extra stuff required?

I currently have Shaw's "High Speed 25" plan. and I am considering upgrading to the "Broadband 100" plan. Would my current modem work, and it would just be a matter of switching my plan through the internet, or would Shaw actually have to come to my house and give me a new modem?

Also, why the differentiation between high speed and broadband? As far as I know they are the same thing. It is just marketing stuff or is the data delivered in a different way or something?

Thanks,
