Should I Resest DCT 700

About 18 days ago, I had a  small power fluctuation at my home, which caused the Power led on my DCT 700 to go out briefly (about one second).

The power fluctuation caused both my VCR timer record setting to be changed by one hour (later)

Something that was supposed to start at 11:30 pm now started at 12:30 am and so on.

So I thought the best thing to do was delete  and re-program the VCR timers on the DCT 700.

I could delete one, but not the other.

The one I couldn't delete, I also couldn't edit in any way.

So I made two new timers one of which would be overlapping (program wise) the old un-deletable timer.

The one timer that was going to overlap the old program gave me a warning that there was a timer already active for the time I wanted to program, and asked if I wanted to keep the existing timer or use the new one.

I choose use the new one (of course). and it worked fine for about 2 weeks.

Starting this monday it wouldn't change the channel to for the second VCR timer.

The second timer shows it's there but it won't change the channel.

Neither of the two VCR timers are in conflict time wise.

I tried deleting the two timers to re-program again, and again I could delete one, but not the other, (and also could not edit it).

I have read around the net you can do a cold reset on the DCT 700.

Is this something I should try to fix my problem?
