There was a general issue affecting some customers' ability to access certain websites which has now been resolved. If you're still experiencing any problems accessing websites, can you try clearing your browser cache or reset your browser as shown here Internet Browser Support?
If you're still noticing the problem after this, please let us know here (if you could provide any examples of websites you still cannot access at this time that would be appreciated).
Can you provide some answers to your customers of what the issue was? Or what the fix was?
This issue just started occurring yesterday/today in the Blackfalds, AB area.
Unable to access many sites (sony entertainment network, facebook, etc.); none of them ever load. The only way to access these sites is to use a proxy program. Did a ping test on them with proxy turned off and they are all coming back "Request timed out."
Temporarily changing DNS settings to Google's (per another thread) is currently not a viable solution. Additionally have tried ipconfig to flush the affected PC's (more than one affected), clearing cookies/browser cache as well as rebooting router to try to flush. No dice.
Good evening syrehn
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are aware of the routing issues affecting service in your area and are currently working to have them resolved as quickly as possible.. There is a service alert up which is being used for discussion and tracking. Please have a look there for further information.
After 8am it got better and all pings got through. But before 8am (Feb 13) half of my pings actually timed out. I know there is a delay after Toronto but there are times when Europe is inaccessible. That's a bit of a problem. I wonder if there is anything I could do to route through Japan for example. I know from Tokyo to Europe the time is about 100ms. But how can I convince my traffic to go West instead of East?
