I was able at the beginning but when I tried later, it would not allow either tuner or channels to record.
We have confirmed that there were some very brief problems with the broadcast of the Sunday Ticket channels earlier this morning. This was a general issue and we confirmed that the signal to the channels was restored as of 10:35AM PST. This would explain what you experienced earlier, but if you're still having any problems viewing/recording the channels at this time please be sure to let me know!
I probably should have said that this was not with just one box. Both of my 3400s would not record. So, again, can someone at Shaw explain why?
Are you still having this trouble recording Sunday Ticket? There's no restriction on this, you should be able to record with no issues.
Let us know if this is still a problem on one or both of your boxes. This may have been a problem with one particular game.

I had set up the recordings for two of the channels and they both started. But the Seattle game froze so I stopped the recording. I temporarily switched to watching CTV over the air, but, when I restarted the NFLST channel, it was no longer frozen but it would not let me record. In fact, the 3400 did not even respond to the record button.
This was also the problem for my other 3400. In both cases, I could not get them to record either the Seattle game or the Kansas City game. So, it was not a box problem or a single channel problem.
Let us know how it goes this coming Sunday, if you do run in to this issue again where the record button is not responding, did you also try going to the guide, with the time slot selected, pressing Info and then selecting record? Or was the record option missing? There is also a "Set a Recording" option, in the PVR menu to manually set the recording times, that may be a last resort option. Hopefully this all gets sorted out for you this Sunday.

That would make it a very strange issue yes, it does seem to be related to the recording already recording then being canceled. I wouldn't expect a repeat of the issue this Sunday as long as the initial recording is not canceled, so hopefully no freezing this time.
We will have to test here and see if we can replicate what you experienced, by letting it record, then cancel it, and try to record it again.
OK, all three of my 3400s have frozen on all NFLST channels! I had two of them recording but the third was not. All stopped at 10:30am.
Interesting. I just now unplugged one of the two 3400 and the other one unfroze! Very strange. Also, the unplugged one now is ok -- BUT will not allow recording although the one that was not unplugged does! This is very strange. The third 3400 (which was unplugged) now is unfrozen, too -- but it will not allow recording. Very strange.
