I am traveling in Europe and my outlook has stopped sending. It says I am working "Offline". I can still receive email. I have checked my Internet Explorer and it is still online. Any advice?
Do you know what incoming and outgoing server settings you are using for Outlook?
I'd usually recommend that for anyone doing a lot of travelling to use our Webmail site instead of relying on your own mail program. If you do need to use Outlook though, you can reference our Email Setup article to make sure all the settings are correct.
Could you tell me how I'd find the server settings?
If you follow the first few steps listed in the email setup doc, you'll find the existing settings in the same place where you would fill in the new ones.
The boxes are blank.
Ah, okay. Instead of clicking on "New", you should see an existing account there that you can open to see the settings of your current setup.
So when you click on "Tools -> Account Settings" you don't see an email address or entry in the box that has your email or name in it?
It should be in the big white box from image "Example B." on the Outlook 2007 document. If you are using Outlook 2010, you will click on "File -> Info -> Account Settings"
