My wifi signal strength is strong upstairs but no wireless internet connection, only get internet on desktop main connection downstairs
A few things could be causing problems with the reception upstairs, including distance, physical barriers or interference from other devices. Are you using a Shaw wireless modem here, or have you connected your own wireless router?
You can try adjusting the wireless channel as shown here How to Change the Wireless Channel on Your Shaw Wireless Modem. It would also be good to know what kind of device you are using upstairs (e.g., laptop computer, desktop, tablet). If you bring the same device that's having trouble connecting upstairs closer to the wireless router, are they able to connect?
