I have a bug report related to the SD aspect ratio settings on my new DCX3510-M.
When the SD aspect "Zoom" selected in 1080p output mode, the image is zoomed vertically but still cuts off on the sides (See photos). In 1080i and 720p modes the image fills the screen but is distorted - it is stretched vertically by the correct amount but horizontally it is stretched too much. This was tested over HDMI and component connections. The attached photos show the standard non-zoomed picture as well as the effect of the zoom setting at 1080i and 1080p.
Correct zooming behaviour would be to zoom just enough that the screen is filled horizontally without distorting the picture.
