Were can we find out if Shaw is planning on expanding its service to certain area's? I live in a Hamlet in Alberta and am looking to see if lines are going to be run before locking into an expensive rural wireless internet plan.
That's something we'd have to check for you here. If you can let us know where you live, we can check. If we don't have any details, we can get your address through private messaging to inquire further with our planning department.
It's in the Hamlet of Lamoureux..
It's only a row of 20 something houses, but my guess is that a major line runs with the service lines under the HWY 15 bridge in that picture to Fort Saskatchewan. I wouldn't think it would be much to tie in and run along to telephone poles to our homes.
Can you see if there is any future plans?
Ah okay so right across from Fort Saskatchewan. Definitely possible since we do service the area. I wasn't able to find anything in our database so I'll check with another department here. I may need to get your address, so I may send a direct message to your Community Inbox at the top.
Thanks, that's no problem. I tried to PM the earlier statement but we are not "connected". New to the forum here.
Hi again, it looks like I'll need your address, so I've sent a message to your Inbox.
SHAW services in new subdivision i am wandering if shaw has to get approval from the CRTC to install it's services in a new subdivision?
I'm not entirely sure what the requirements are for running services to a new subdivision, if any on a per-area basis, with regards to the CRTC. Municipal and possibly provincial approval is required of course.
