As the title says our internet cuts out for up to 5 minutes every hour or so for the past 2 days. Speeds/packet loss/ping/etc. all seem fine while it's up it just keeps cutting out and disconnecting us from whatever we are doing any suggestions?
Sorry to hear that, I'm sure we can help. Are you using a wireless connection, or hardwired? Do you have more than one computer and if so, are all of these being disconnected? Also, do you notice the lights on your modem change when you experience the interruptions?
Here is an article which may help Internet Connectivity Troubleshooting, but if you can't find a solution there just let me know.
We haven't looked at the lights yet, we will next time and I will edit. We have about 5 computers wired and a phone/ps3 wireless every single one of them disconnects at the same time.
We're noticing it's a bit more frequent at the moment, we also live in the BC area I don't know if that's important or not.
The link didn't really help as we have powercycled the modem a few times now and all our connections are secure + it's every single thing disconnecting at once and it all started at the same time about 2 days ago.
Are you using a wired or wireless connection when you notice the internet stops working?
What type of Shaw modem do you have?
Are you using a router? Brand/model?
Well as I said before we have 5 computers wired and 2 wireless devices, all 7 of them go down at the same time when it disconnects.
We do not have a router.
We have a cisqo modem do you need the model number?
We'll have to get your account information and take a further look at your account to see if we can determine why the modem is continually disconnecting.

So this last time it blinked off a few times I looked at the modem and it showed DS US and Online all 3 going off, then going back on one at a time, then going back off again over and over until I powercycled it and now it works again.
Also sent you the number, thanks for the quick replies
My first suspision is, if the lights are going out, a signal issue
