While I am able to receive e-mails to my @shaw.ca account using Mac Mail on my laptop, I am unable to send messages. Instead, I have to send all outgoing messages through my iPhone or by logging in to Webmail itself. (Not sure if it matters but the majority of the time I'm trying to send e-mails is from places without Shaw internet.) My current settings are:
server name: mail.shaw.ca
Use custom port: 587
Use SSL is checked
User Name and Password have both been entered.
Under Preferences - Accounts - shaw.ca - SMTP it says: shaw.ca (Offline)
I receive the following error message: Mail can't connect to the account "shaw.ca". Enter the password... My password is entered correctly.
Is there something else I can try to fix this problem?
