How can I get McAfee to trust an .exe?

The McAfee Internet Security that is included with Shaw Internet is very frustrating.

I have been trying to play Troika/Atari's "The Temple of Elemental Evil" with the latest patches and a mod by the "Circle of 8" (a group that modded the game to add content and fix bugs) but the game launcher, "toee.exe" is being detected as:

The fact that it is detected as a Trojan is old news; it is NOT a virus, and this is well documented online. The recommendation is to have whatever installed anti-virus software to "trust" the file so it does not delete it. Unfortunately, McAfee does not let you "Trust" the file, and it keeps quarantining it! When I try to select the file from the "Quarantined Items" bin and click on "Send to McAfee" it just returns with an error, "Unable to send."

What can I do to stop this from happening? Remove McAfee entirely and install a different antivirus program? Seems rather backwards...

Please help if you can.

Thank you,
