Whats going on ?? i tried to do all the troubleshooting steps with no success and then phoned shaw support (with my cell phone)only to be put on hold for 1 hour with no option of a call back. anyone else having similar issues and is there a fix?

Yes i have and that would be great to get some help! We have had nothing but problems with Shaw since they upgraded our cables outside our house. I have everything with Shaw, telephone, internet x2, and TV. I pay close to 300 every month to shaw and to have these types of problems for the last few days is very discouraging and makes me contemplate switching to Telus or some other vendor.
