How to Prevent Buffering with CISCO DPC3825

I recently installed a CISCO DPC3825 combination modem /wireless router that is connecting to a 12 month old ACER Aspire 5951G laptop.  The laptop's Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter and PCIe GBE Family Controller drivers are up-to-date.

A typical Shaw Ping test returns approx 20ms Ping, 23Mbps download and 2.3Mbps upload.  However, regardless of whether I connect the CISCO unit by wireless or by Cat 6 Ethernet cable to my laptop I still get intermittent buffering when I stream on-line video.

To prevent the (annoying) buffering I am considering bridging the CISCO unit to a dual band router.  Can anyone please advise what would be the make and model of the most reasonably priced dual band router to buy, and if I would also need to buy a USB dual band wireless adapter?

Thank you.
