Hello,
I have Shaw Cable and have the movie package in order to watch the turner classic movies.
I live on vancouver island near the city of comox. And I get TCM on channel 35.
Recently I found out that on Shaw-Direct TCM is offered as both standard definition & high definition.
I have 3 question:
1 - Is it possible that you already do offer TCM-HD on cable and I am just missing it?
2 - If you do not offer TCM-HD on cable is there a particular reason for it?
3 - What are the chances of offering TCM-HD on Shaw Cable?
I can move my service to shaw-direct, but I just want to explore this options first.
Thank you in advance!
Hello baba.baba
TCM HD will be included as part of the BlueSky TV Enhancements that will be launching to all BlueSky TV customers soon. The date for the national launch is still TBD but they are currently available in Calgary and surrounding regions only. You can find more information on that here https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-17856
For our customers using other cable boxes, there is no word at this time if TCM HD will be made available, but you are welcome to request it using the form on this link https://community.shaw.ca/docs/DOC-5553#form
So ironic, because Shaw was the first major television provider in Canada to add TCM to their lineup, many years ago. Now, they will be the last to offer it in high definition.
